Sabrina Maldonado graduated from Union Institute and University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021 along with a Certificate of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling and completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University in 2017. She is currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and in the process of becoming licensed in the State of Florida. She completed her internship in graduate school during the pandemic in in-patient hospitalization settings for populations with substance use disorders. After graduating, she continued to provide mental health services in in-patient settings for mental health and substance use disorders along with in outpatient care for school and office settings. She has experience facilitating individual and group therapy for populations with co-occurring disorders. She has continued her training and became a certified MATCH clinician to enhance interventions for children and adolescents. She has assisted individuals from all age ranges in coping with depression, anxiety, some neurodevelopmental disorders and behavioral difficulties along with other mood disorders and personality disorders.
